Weekend Recap: Delicious Orchards, IT, + RBNY Game

Happy 1st Day of October!! This past weekend I was finally free of my sickness and left the house! My sister came home for the weekend so our first stop was Delicious Orchards. We end up going here about 1-2x a year and only during the fall time. All of their baked goods is the only reason why I go. The front of the building was gorgeous with pumpkins, corn, and hay everywhere. We bought apple cider donuts, mini pies, cookies, an apple ring (which is my favorite), and their crumb cake that one of their workers recommended.

Outside of the building, they have freshly made items. You can get ice cream, apple fritters, paninis, donuts, french fries, smoothies, and other American staples. Their fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. They are fresh, crunchy, and not greasy. If apple picking is more your speed, they have a sister property, Eastmont Orchards that isn’t too far from this location.

A few hours later, we went to go see IT: Chapter 2 with one of my friends. I’ve been wanting to see it for a few weeks, but my sister kept second guessing if she wanted to see it or not. My opinion on it is, it’s not that scary, I definitely laughed more than anything, I was not a fan of the flash backs from when they were kids multiple times, and to me, the movie was all over the place. If you’ve been debating on whether to see it, hold off until it comes out on DVD or On Demand. The first IT was scarier in my opinion.

Sunday started off pretty low key. Prepped some dinner for during the week and just hung out with my sister during the day. Later on that afternoon, my sister and I, along with my dad went to the New York Red Bulls game. I was hoping for a win, so that could place them into 4th place only so they could host the first playoff game. They unfortunately tied, and still sit in 5th place with not much hope of hosting going into the last regular season game. Sunday’s game was their last regular season home game. #bittersweet
