It honestly feels like this month just started! I seriously can not believe that I’m typing this on the very last day of the best month of the year (1st of November by the time you guys get to read this). It’s been a month full of pumpkins and chilly weather (which I love). As for my favorites of this month I can say they are a bit scarce partially because I didn’t expect this month to fly by me the way it did. Regardless, here are a few things that kept me happy during the month of October!
Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft curls: I continued my journey with my curls this month and I’m proud to announce I only straightened my hair ONCE! (cue the trumpets) I let my curls flourish and do their own thing this month. I really want my hair to grow and be healthy so I kept it natural and gave this product a try and wow! I really loved how it kept my curls in tact all while keeping them soft! I really hate when I curl my hair and they turn out crunchy. People rave about this line and I’m excited to try other products because I’m pretty happy with the results.
Looking for Alaska (Hulu): When I say I flew through this series I mean FLEW. It was so entertaining and it touched some serious topics while still showing the fun and excitement of a coming to age series. I loved LOVED the close knit friendship between the main characters and I seriously recommend everyone to go watch it. Based on the novel written by John Green it follows main character Miles Halter as he starts a new adventure by going to a boarding school in search of “the great perhaps”. It is there that he meets and falls in love with Alaska and the experiences teaches him far more than he ever imagined.
Living with yourself (Netflix):
Paul Rudd is everything. This show follows his character as he undergoes a mysterious treatment to get him out of this rut he has going on in his life but ultimately ends up with a better version of himself. I can not stress enough how funny this series is. It really had me cracking up and I finished the series in a couple days because I couldn’t stop watching! It ends on such a crazy note and I can not wait until they announce a second season.
The Glow up diaries by Alivia D’andrea: I’ve been on a self love, self improvement kick lately and this series is such a relatable topic that it is really hard not to fall in love with it. Alivia puts it all on the table and shows all her successes while not being afraid of showing all her set backs. I think if you need a little inspiration and a little kick in the right direction you should check out the glow up diaries- you won’t regret it.
Those were a few little things that kept me going this month I promise that I’ll branch out and try new things next month! I’ll take any recommendations just leave a comment down below!
