Book Club: November

This month I fell in love with a new author. Her name is Julie Buxbaum and she is the author of this months read “Tell Me Three Things”. For the month of November I was on the search for a book for my heart. I love to fall into the shoes of the main character as they maneuver their way through life and love and this did that and more! I loved it so much that I got two of my cousins to also read it and they loved it just as much as me.

The little summary in the back is “Everything about Jessie is wrong. At least, that’s what it feels like during her first week of junior year at her new ultra-intimidating prep school in Los Angeles. Just when she’s thinking about hightailing it back to Chicago, she gets an email from a person calling themselves Somebody/Nobody (SN for short), offering to help her navigate the wilds of Wood Valley High School. Is it an elaborate hoax? Or can she rely on SN for some much-needed help?

It’s been barely two years since her mother’s death, and because her father eloped with a woman he met online, Jessie has been forced to move across the country to live with her stepmonster and her pretentious teenage son.

In a leap of faith—or an act of complete desperation—Jessie begins to rely on SN, and SN quickly becomes her lifeline and closest ally. Jessie can’t help wanting to meet SN in person. But are some mysteries better left unsolved?”
.

I absolutely fell in love with Jessie and her character. Her life is SO relatable and you can’t help but smile while reading some chapters from this novel. This book is so darn cute and awkward at times but it just sucks you in. I am so obsessed with the authors way of writing and the story is just so freaking adorable. The romance between Jessie and the boys that come into her life as well as the mystery behind SN’s identity is so enticing. This book had everything a feel good book needs and I’m so happy I randomly picked it up because it was worth every cent. The ending was perfect and I wish there was more to the story because the development of the characters was so great. The ending melted my heart and made me wish I had an SN of my own lol. There is also a lot of heavy things the characters are going through but it just adds to all the detail that the author put into making the characters come to life. I loved everything about this book and I can’t wait to pick up more written by Julie. I recommend it was 10/10!!

This book definitely made the month of November a little bit better and I hope you guys check it out too!
