Now that December is finally here, it’s all things CHRISTMAS! One of my favorite things about Christmas time is admiring all the lights, hot chocolate/cider, and just being extra festive. My other favorite thing is going around to all the Christmas Markets and Villages that are nearby, for not only shopping, but for the food. I plan to bring Knox to about one or two of them this year. Below I’ve listed some of my favorites!
1. Christmas Village in Philadelphia
It it located at LOVE park and it has over 80 international vendors and food. Bring your pet along with you as well. It runs from November 28th, 2019 – December 24th, 2019
2. Season of Lights: Peddler’s Village
This is mainly for the light display, but there are restaurants and stores within the area. The Village is lit up with a million colorful lights every evening through January 12.
3. A Longwood Christmas: Longwood Gardens
So this place has been on my list for YEARS! Crossing my fingers that this is the year I finally go. Timed admission tickets are required and there is a fee. It’s running from November 22, 2019–January 5, 2020.
4. Bryant Park Holiday Shops
This Winter Village holiday market features food and artisanal boutiques. You can also go ice skating! It runs from October 31, 2019 – January 5, 2020.
5. Historic Smithville
This cute little area has a bunch of small shops and little food stands. They have a light show on the water every Thursday-Sunday in December. From what I remember, there is usually a Santa roaming around too. It runs from November 28th, 2019 – January 6, 2020.
6. Koziar’s Christmas Village
My parents took me here as a kid and I vaguely remember the details from when I went. I would eventually love to go back, but the drove is what’s holding me back and I also wish dogs were allowed. It is open from November 2, 2019 – January 1, 2020.
Let me know if there are any must see Christmas villages/markets that I should be checking out!
