Book Club: February

Another month, another book. No matter how many things I have on my plate, when I sit down and open a new book it’s like all my worries go away. Getting lost in the stories is a major reason why I love reading and if you’re reading this, I’m sure you love it too. This month I had the pleasure of reading “You were there too” by Colleen Oakley & it was so amazing that it only took me 3 days! This book was exactly what I was looking for and I’m so happy I picked it up from Target. My heart was so involved and I’m so excited to share my thoughts about it with all of you.

The summary in the back said “Acclaimed author Colleen Oakley delivers a heart-wrenching and unforgettable love story about a woman who must choose between the man she loves and the man fate has chosen for her in a novel that reminds us that the best life is one led by the heart. Mia Graydon’s life looks picket-fence perfect; she has the house, her loving husband, and dreams of starting a family. But she has other dreams too — unexplained, recurring ones starring the same man. Still, she doesn’t think much of them, until a relocation to small-town Pennsylvania brings her face to face with the stranger she has been dreaming about for years. And this man harbors a jaw-dropping secret of his own—he’s been dreaming of her too.Determined to understand, Mia and this not-so-stranger search for answers. But when diving into their pasts begins to unravel her life in the present, Mia emerges with a single question—what if?

This book was SO amazing!!! Mia’s character was so relatable and I got super wrapped up with the storyline. It was cute, it was heart wrenching, it had so much love in it and I was in tears by the time I finished it. It is very rare when I find a book that speaks to me the second I pick it up but, that was the exact case when I found this book. The characters in this story are so well developed that it almost feels like you know them. The mystery of it all is enticing and I truly fell in love with the characters and their backgrounds. If the author hasn’t thought about making this a series, I hope she does now because I would love to read more and watch these characters develop even further. I feel like there could be so many possibilities in their futures so, maybe she’ll consider writing more (fingers crossed). I don’t want to spoil any of the story for you because you deserve the chance to enjoy this as much as I did. Just trust me when I say you have to go out and get this asap!

Happy reading!
