Happy mother’s day to all the moms reading! This post was supposed to go up on Friday and I’ve been so caught up with studying for my finals that unfortunately it got pushed lol. I hope all of you guys are enjoying a relaxing Sunday at home with your mother’s and with your families. & with that being said here is my post on five easy things you can do to stay healthy during this time at home.
With everyone being bound to their homes it could be very easy to fall into bad habits. The first week of quarantine was a tough one for me and there were a lot of snacks with a lot of Netflix lol. It has taken me a bit to figure out what works for me but here are five easy things to incorporate into your schedule in order to stay healthy.
1. Drink more water!
I cannot stress how important this is. I have been keeping track of my water intake and it definitely makes a difference in how I feel everyday. Drinking more water will help aid digestion and have you feeling less bloated. It has so many amazing benefits and will certainly have you feeling better
2. Set up a weekly schedule
This was super important for me. My planner has become my holy grail. Setting up a schedule will help you stay organized and on track. I try to make sure I wake up around the same time everyday so that my body knows it’s time to start the day. I also try to leave some open time to do something that makes me feel good whether that be exercise, reading or doing a face mask. It is important to leave time in your schedule to aid in your mental health and your happiness.
3. Get more sleep
Getting enough sleep is crucial to achieving goals and being clear headed in general. Ditch the all nighters and wake up feeling refreshed instead of groggy and tired. Giving your body time to rest is important for your mental health and your overall well-being. You’ll be feeling brand new every morning.
4. Read a few pages from a book/blog/magazine
This is more healthy in the form of your mental health. Engaging your mind is important in keeping your mental health in check and will provide a good escape to destress. Reading something for a few minutes a day will keep your mind active and entertained.
5. Get some sunlight
Getting up and going outside to get some sunlight will feel so good after a long day of being stuck inside. Even if you are just outside for a few minutes it will make such a difference in how you feel. It will have you feeling more energized, awake and ready to conquer anything in your path.
I hope these few things help guide you guys into feeling whole and healthy! They have certainly helped me during this time and I’m telling you, it works! My finals are this coming week so once they are over I’m coming strong with better content. Stay tuned!!
