TikTok is literally everywhere and it’s taking over the social media scene. At first I wasn’t interested in joining but I was convinced by others and now here we are. If you’ve had TikTok then you know how addicting it is to just keep scrolling through. I have laughed, I have cried and lucky for you, I have found cookie recipes! Over the course of a couple days, I’ve tried 2 different cookie recipes that I found on TikTok and I will be rating them in comparison to my regular recipe. I would of done more but frankly, my waist does not need any more cookies lol.
First up we have these cookies that were literally all over my FYP and I knew the second I saw them that I would have to try them out. So I grabbed all my ingredients and tossed them in a bowl and it looked like this lol.
I mixed it all up and using a 1&1/2 tablespoon cookie scoop I got them all set up on lined cookie sheet and popped them in the oven for 9 minutes since the video said 8-10 and I didn’t want to under cook or over cook them lol.
I gave these cookies a 7/10, they were good but they were more of a peanut butter cookie with chocolate chips than a chocolate chip cookie. (was that confusing? lol ) I ended up putting them back in the oven for another 4 minutes because when I first took them out they were really soft and sort of mushy on the inside. I wasn’t sure if that was just they type of cookie it was and I got nervous thinking they were raw. They still came out pretty soft and I think I prefer a bit more stability and a little more chip to dough ratio on each cookie. Overall, they were good but I still like a classic chocolate chip cookie better. My BF rated them a 9/10 .. he ate them all lol. If you love peanut butter I would definitely try these at home.
I wanted to branch out and try a different style of cookie and I found this 1 minute cookie in a mug recipe and I knew this one had to be it.
I wasn’t sure how big of a mug I would need for this so, I grabbed a soup mug. I probably could of chosen a smaller one but I wanted to be safe rather than sorry. This is what all the ingredients looked like tossed in exactly how the TikTok showed. I mixed this all up and popped it into the microwave for 1 minute.
This was the cookies final look, I probably could of done a better job of mixing in the flour since you can see a few specks of white. I didn’t realize until now that I don’t have a picture of the forkful but let me tell you, this was AMAZING. I give this recipe a 9/10! The only reason I didn’t give it a 10 is because I thought it would get a lot fluffier. I think the mug was just too big and so it ended up looking kind of flat. Taste-wise, it was 10/10. I think everyone needs this recipe in their lives because it’s quick, it’s easy and it’s delicious. My brother also gave it a 9/10. We recommend!!
