Hello!! I know it’s been awhile.
Jakelin and I would like to apologize for the lack of posts these past few weeks. Jakelin’s been busy with school, and for me personally, I’ve felt pretty uninspired. My mental health has definitely struggled, but after seeing my doctor, I realized I had some vitamin deficiency’s, which was probably the cause of how low I was feeling. I was also tired all the time, when I was getting a decent nights sleep. I’ve only been on the vitamins the past few days and I’m slowly seeing a difference in my mood.
During the past few weeks, I’ve been really trying to figure out what I want to do career wise. I want to do something that’s hands on and on the creative side. I’m still in a rut of what exactly I want to do, but so far I’ve been thinking about doing photography part time. In early February, I asked my friend if I could take engagement photos of her and her fiancé just so I could practice. She agreed and she opted for very casual photos of the both of them. I found some locations that could work, and then we decided on two spots. Below are three of the photos since I do not want to show their faces.
Also in February, I’ve been trying to plan out Alyssa’s mini Stranger Things birthday. I didn’t want to spend too much money on the decor, but it was so hard finding decor in general for it. I thought there would be a lot of different options, but there wasn’t. That post with everything that I bought, will be up next week.
Recently I’ve decided to sign up for a wood shop and pottery class just to bring out more of my creative side and to try out some new things. Lately I’ve realized that I’m very into Event Branding, but more specifically with weddings, and parties. I’m all about the little details when it comes to hosting. In my free time, I’ve also been trying to learn more about personal finance, like high yield savings account, savings in general, budgeting, investing, life insurance, and saving for retirement. Any tips.. please send them my way.
Now onto what I’ve been watching the past few weeks. I finally saw Little Fires Everywhere, and I am obsessed. I didn’t know what to expect, but Izzy is such a badass. I liked Ginny & Georgia, but I don’t know how realistic it could actually be. The others that I’ve watched are Queen’s Gambit, Behind Her Eyes, I Care A Lot, and Firefly Lane. Behind Her Eyes was slow in the beginning, but O M G did it pick up. The ending was insane!!! Is there anything else that’s a must watch?
What have you all been up to? I won’t promise to put a post up each week, but now that things are opening back up, I hope I’ll be posting on a more regular basis again.
